The FMCSA requires all motor carriers to update their USDOT Numbers every two years. The purpose of this update is to make sure the company information associated with each carrier's DOT Number is current.
Who Needs an MCS-150 Update?
If you have a DOT Number, you need to file this update every 24 months - even if your information hasn't changed. If you're no longer in business, but haven't notified the FMCSA, you also need to file an update. Please note that your order may take up to 72 hours for processing.
To operate legally, it's important to file your MCS-150 update by the last day of the month it's due. Failure to do so could result in fines of up to $10,000.
To see your UCR status, click here and click on the "Unified Carrier Registration" link at the bottom of the page. You'll find it under the "FMCSA Searches" heading.
Select whether you'd like to purchase a UCR for 2024, 2025 or both by clicking the boxes to the left.
